About

Dealership-floor eyes. Director-level hands.

Konquer Media started in 2023 because I was running a dealership Instagram on the side and realised the broker next door was paying $4k/mo for content that didn't book a single appointment. Three years later we run cameras for venues, agents, brokers and dealers across Melbourne — under one retainer, with the documentary realism we earned making Inside the Garden.

Inside the Garden — 2024

The 13 episodes that taught us how to wait for the moment.

We pitched Inside the Garden to Channel 31 in 2023 — a documentary about Melbourne kitchens. They commissioned thirteen episodes. The first three we cut the way brand films get cut. The last ten we stopped.

By episode four we'd worked out that the moment which reads true on camera is not the moment you planned. The brand work we ship now — Garden State, La Calabrese, Crab89, Booran Motors, ELYSIUM, First Aid Finance — is downstream of those ten episodes.

The credit, in numbers

13 episodes broadcast on Channel 31
80+ hours of two-camera footage
14 Melbourne kitchens featured
2024 EP credit, Konquer Media
2024 Garden State EP credit (Arman)

Matthew Takau

The cut, the timeline, the rhythm. Edits as a writer would. The line the viewer remembers — usually one Matt found. Inside the Garden ran 13 episodes; Matt cut all of them.

Production partners we've worked with: Season Zero Media · MANA Media · Foodporn.

Philosophy

Production-led. Not deck-led.

Most agencies that run your ads have never shot a frame. Most studios that shoot your ads have never run a campaign. We do both, under one retainer, because the room you shoot on Wednesday and the lead you didn't text back on Friday are the same problem.

The deck doesn't drive the shoot. The room does. We shoot until there's a story, then cut. That's documentary realism in plain English.
